Last week I walked you through how to go clean out your closet and organize it. In a dream world, I would love to go out and buy a completely new wardrobe, but that’s not the case for most of us(including me). However, now that you have this fresh newly organized space, here are four ways to spruce up the wardrobe you already have. These four tips will cover scarves, revolving trends, wearing metallics, and statement jewelry.
Scarves// This is an item that you must have in your closet. Scarves range from the small lightweight style that ties around your neck, to the heavy duty wool style that you’ll wear the next time there’s a snowmaggedon. There is every style, print, and pattern you can imagine. You can definitely have fun with the different styles. This can easily be an inexpensive addition to your wardrobe if you’re trying to stay on a budget.
Revolving trends// If you have a few pieces for several years that trend has probably found its way back again. I have several sheer/mesh blouses that I bought years ago that I have kept because they are back in style again (also they are basics so I wasn’t going to get rid of them anyway). For example, I have a mustard yellow sheer button down blouse, layer a cute bralette underneath, pair that with high waisted denim, statement gold earrings, and boots. You’re good to go for your night out!
Wear Metallics// A pair of metallic shoes came into my possession and I have yet to wear them. Maybe you have several pieces that have a metallic finish to them? Try incorporating it into your everyday wardrobe! This will add some pop to your outfit for sure. 🙂
Statement Jewelry// I love me a pair of statement earrings! Especially when there is a two for one sale at Aldo Shoes. Jewelry can also be an inexpensive way to update your wardrobe and add a few new pieces. Thrifting and vintage shops can be a way to accomplish this. It’s been awhile since I’ve been inside a thrift shop but since I live in Austin, Tx there should be no excuse right?! haha I will be doing so in the future and will let you know what I find.
