Interview Questions
1. Could you start by sharing a bit about yourself?
My name is Jonie, and I am a personal stylist at Nordstrom as well as a Fashion Blogger here in Austin. I’ve been blogging for about 3 years now and it’s really opened doors for me, from my career to watching my style evolve.
2. Could you tell us about your blog and what inspired you to start one?
Definitely! So at the time I started my blog I was an accountant and I didn’t love my job (we’ve all been there) and I had this energy that I knew I wanted to get out of my system! I wanted to inspire women around me to look good, feel good, and share my style philosophy.
3. Who is your fashion inspiration?
I love Alma Clooney, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Zoe.
4. How would you describe your style?
Classic-chic
5. What are your favorite stores to shop at, and why?
I love Zara, you can typically catch me wearing a piece of Zara on the daily. I love Zara because it’s always on trend and easy on the checking account. Other than that, you can always find me at Nordstrom ☺.
6. What is an item you splurge on?
SHOES!!!
7. What is your next fashion must have?
More shoes 😉 And I really want a matching pant suit in my wardrobe.
8. How do you handle fashion trends? (Do you like to keep up with them or not pay attention to them at all…)
Um, I love trends. Being a stylist that’s something you have to keep up with. I have a few magazine subscriptions and it’s always a good mail day when those come in. I also have a few style apps (Vouge Collections & Moda Operandi) I like to check out for the newest collection & styles.
9. Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
NOPE! Have fun and forget the rules!
10. For my readers that are looking to freshen up their wardrobe, what is a great fashion tip you can share with them?
Buy what you love! If you’re doubting it in the dressing room, chances are you’ll doubt it at home. So just remember, only if you love it!
