Over the course of the year, we go to work every day and occasionally have different events that pop up here and there. Whenever I am pulling together my outfits, I get to my shoes and think: Do I want to wear heels today? or do I want to be more comfortable?… Can I do both? You know what, you can have both! Today I am talking about the most comfortable shoe options for any occasion. I usually don’t wear heels during the week to work because I don’t have to. However, I do attend networking events, panels, and the occasional happy hour.
When I am representing The Visual Aspect at any event, I am reflecting on my brand and it’s just a great excuse for me to wear heels. However, those couple of hours can either be comfortable or painful, and I would rather be comfortable all night. So here are a few of my choices when it comes to comfortable heels to wear to work or an event.
Block Heel
I love that the chunky block heel has been on trend lately. Not necessarily for the trend but that there are so many versions of this style of shoe. One reason why I like them is that I can choose a higher heel, and not feel like I might tip over. Another perk is that a block heel won’t sink into the grass in case you have an outdoor event. Take a look at these selections below 🙂
A Heel + A Platform
If you like to wear taller heels I find that if they also have a platform then you’re golden. I recently came across a pair of sandals from DSW. They have a nice block heel and a small platform at the front of the shoe. It’s a two for one in my opinion and I wear these shoes ALL THE TIME! I’m sure you’ve seen them a hundred times on my Instagram. I have included those in the round-up as well 🙂
Wedges
Wedges are typically the first choice that I go to if I am looking for a shoe that can get me through the evening (or the day, depending on what you are doing). I have only purchased wedges when it comes to sandals. It has been a long time since I have purchased wedges as a dressy shoe or in a boot. For some reason, I am not a huge fan of how they look on my foot outside of a sandal. But things can change at any time. I feel like wedges are absolutely the go-to for any event happening outdoors, and rightly so. However, if you want to switch it up, I would go with the other two options I listed above.
Shoe Inspo
I have my go-to shoe options which are a block heel with a platform. It gives you height and stability which makes walking into a room with that much more confidence. Pair that with a maxi dress and I am ready to network my little heart out! I hope you found some value in this post and know what to shop for when it comes to shoes.
If there are any other topics you want me to cover, comment below and let me know! Have a great rest of your week and I will see yall here next Tuesday:)
