Hello and happy Friday! I hope yall are having such a great week this week. I wanted to finally get around to sharing more details about my trip to LA that happened last month. To start things off my blogger friend Jon was invited to attend BeautyCon and this is an event that he has been going to for a few years now. So he invited Chelsey and me to go along with him and we just made a mini vacation out of the whole trip. As some of you know I have to plan out outfits and have a moment for different days…Sometimes it is not easy being a style blogger haha I’m totally kidding! However, I knew we would have so many opportunities to capture some amazing content so I had to prep. So let’s jump into it!
Thursday, July 12th
To be honest I haven’t flown in a while but I wanted to be comfortable and not freezing my butt off. I went with my high waisted dark denim from Gap, A loose graphic tank, and my denim jacket from Topshop, white trainers because I would be going through airport security (and I refuse to walk on that floor with my bare feet). I just added the necktie just as an accessory 🙂 Once we got to the hotel our room wasn’t ready yet so we headed down to Santa Monica Pier! It was a little warm once we got down there so I was glad I wore a tank top under my jacket for versatility.
Once the hotel was ready we changed and got ready to go the Live podcasting of The Skinny Confidential at The Grove. I was so excited that this event happened while we were visiting and I got my entire life that night! After the podcast was complete, I had the chance to meet Lauryn and Michael, and they were so nice. I went more a little more casual for this night because we were outdoors and sitting on the grass.

Friday was my favorite day! We woke up early went to Runyon Canyon and saw some amazing views of LA. We also ran into Teddi Mellencamp from Real House of Beverly Hills! It was during Runyon canyon and she was just killing her workout per usual running up and down that hill. Later we went to WEHO had the best night at PUMP and SUR. I wrote an entire outfit post from that night that you can read HERE.

It’s off to BeautyCon day 1! I dressed casual chic for this day and I put way more effort into my outfit than my makeup. I only say this because everyone’s makeup looked AMAZING and I was like hmmm how natural can I go. However, it was so cool to see how each vendor booth decorated their booths. It was a very floral theme with lots of swings. After the conference, we went to the Melrose area to see the Glossier store and the Paul Smith wall 🙂
Sunday, July 15th
We started off with BeautyCon Day 2 for the full day and the highlight of that day was seeing Kim Kardashian West speak. Yall…I thought she looked great on IG but she looks even better in person and I was like how can a person get more beautiful. We also go to meet Katy of Lustrelux during her meet and greet with Hourglass. I lowkey was super disappointed that I wasn’t able to meet Desi during her meet and greet, but I will take what I can get.
For Sunday I wore this super cute black long sleeve dress with my white trainers, and a yellow bandana, that I got during the Zara sale. I liked that it was more fitted at the bottom and for this Texan, it was a little chilly in LA, so the sleeves were perfect. I paired this with my backpack from Zara to complete the look 🙂
Monday, July 16th
Our last day in the Golden State. We ended up back at The Grove after breakfast to do a little bit of shopping and take some outfit photos. We had our last meal at Tart, which is a restaurant you must go to if you live there or visiting. Then we headed to the KKW Beauty Pop up Shop! I absolutely loved that little store. It was very inspiring to see that and it makes me want to do a pop up in the future. For this last day, I wore high waisted shorts, Levis shirt, My new favorite yellow blazer, and white trainers. Once we got back to the hotel, I changed into my Gap jeans again because we were headed to the airport for our flights back to Texas.
Well, that wraps up almost every little detail of what I wore during my trip to LA. I loved visiting the city so much and definitely want to go back soon!
