If you follow me on Instagram, then you would have caught a few moments from the blogger gang having an Austin Staycation. Since this weekend, this gave me the idea to create a short list of 5 activities to do in Austin during the summer. Sometimes I get so focused on only creating content revolving around style and building a wardrobe that I forget to share all the fun things that I do around town here in Austin. During the summer I love to be outdoors but in the shade at the same time. So, when it comes to the latest brunch spot there has got to be a patio, large fans, and shade involved. Then your girl will be there right on time!
Okay, so I will be covering several topics of fun that I partake in when it comes to summer activities. I spent a lot of time on South Congress this past weekend, so it will be more focused on that area of Austin. However, you can start in that area and go from there! I hope you can find some new ideas to enjoy your summer this year.
Cute Little Cafe’s
The Kendra Scott flagship store is such a cute little spot to hang out at. Not only is there some great shopping to be had, but there is a Sips and Sweets Cafe. At the cafe, you can grab a latte or mimosa and shop around or hang out on the covered patio. We hung out at the cafe for a little bit, where I tried the new lemonade and macaroons. And I can’t leave out how Instagramable this place is!
It’s time for a Pool Party!
Another favorite summer activity of mine is to go to hotel pools. They are so much better than the pool at my apartment and you have the chance to meet new people. My top two favorites to date have been the Azul Rooftop pool and Hotel San Jose. They are completely opposite vibes but fun in their own way. If you want high energy and dance along to a DJ, The Azul rooftop bar is perfect for that. For a more chill afternoon at the pool, Hotel San Jose would be the spot for you. There you can snack on the food from the restaurant and sip on some frose’ from the bar.
It’s never too late for brunch
Let’s talk brunch! South Congress (or SoCo if you’re local) is the prime spot to get the best brunch in the city. On Saturday, I finally got to try Cafe No Se’ which is the restaurant inside the South Congress Hotel. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was so yummy! Chelsey got the Quinoa bowl and Jon ordered the No Se Cheeseburger, and the consensus was this place is as amazing as it looks. The price point was not super pricey either with their dishes ranging from $12-$25ish dollars. Cafe No Se has now made my list of yummy brunch spots, but I will also list my top picks that are in the area below. 🙂

Blues on the Green
This is the second year that I have gone to Blues on the Green and it has always been such a fun night. This normally takes place in the evening around 8 pm. You and friends bring blankets, drinks, your puppy, and enjoy a fun night in Zilker Park. It’s perfect because by the time you make it out there the sun is on its way down and you are not spending a lot of time under the direct sun. I say this because the summertime in Texas is brutal! The lineup has been great so far and the next show is on July 17th. I will leave a link below with all the deets!
Blues On The Green Lineup 2019
Well this post gets me excited to do more within the Austin area this summer! If you live here I will probably see you around soon. Stay tuned for the rest of the week for Chelsey and Jon to share their staycation experience in Austin. I will add their links to this post:)
