Hi and welcome back! I am so so excited to finally share that I have collaborated with Express to curate a fall collection that is now available in-store and online! If you are following me on Instagram (@deannamrivers) then you would’ve already heard about this fall collection and collab. I also did a bunch of try on’s of a few of the pieces and shared the complete collection there. However, I wanted to talk through the pieces in a blog post for those who like to read posts and shop on this platform.
When I was deciding which outfits, I wanted to have in the collection the question that was top of mind was how many ways could you wear this one piece. It’s all about versatility and for example wearing one top like 10 different ways. I wanted the outfits, and to be even more micro, each piece of clothing to be something you’d be able to add to your foundation wardrobe. Since the collections that are out right now with Express are more geared toward transitioning into the fall season, this was perfect because you can essentially wear some of these pieces year-round. You can layer up these pieces for the colder weather or as is if you are in a warmer climate.
So, let’s jump into the curated collection that is broken down into three categories: Parisian Chic, Femme Lux, and Polished Minimal. To be honest, my favorite is a mix between Polished Minimal and Parisian Chic, but again you can easily mix and match all the pieces with each other.

Femme Lux
First up in the fall collection is Femme Lux which has pieces in this category that mainly focus on feminine details. There’s lace, satin blazer, and pretty pinks. It really does remind me of spring but what I do love is how we are taking these pastel colors into the fall season. My main goal was to pair these pieces with a light to medium wash denim, no more white denim as were heading into the fall season. And that the tops are versatile that you can wear with jeans, a leather mini skirt, or a flowy mini skirt.

Parisian Chic
Parisian Chic is more of a classic category in the fall collection with the darker neutrals being black. Black neutrals make these pieces so chic and put together. Leather shorts are going to be huge this season and if you haven’t gotten your hands on a pair, now is the time! I love pairing this with an oversized blazer which is a timeless classic staple that you will have in your closet forever.
The next outfit is the definition of versatile. I loved a blouse that is sleeveless which makes pairing this with a coat or a blazer seamless. You can dress it up and be work-appropriate by pairing this top with a skirt. Or if your office is a bit more relaxed you can wear it with jeans as I have it styled here. All in all, this outfit is so versatile as we transition from summer into the Fall season.

Polished Minimal
The Polished Minimal category is one of my top favorite categories in this curated collection. The next outfit is a simple yet sophisticated outfit that you can easily layer. These vegan leather pants are everything! Again, just like with the leather shorts you need a pair of leather pants or leggings into your wardrobe. It’s such a great addition and staple and provides a great alternative to your wearing jeans all through Fall and Winter. With the leather pants pairing the fitted turtleneck and throwing a herringbone coat over it, and you’re ready to go for the day!
Finally, is the midi dressed paired with the leather jacket. Yall should know by now that if I see a midi/maxi dress it has my name written all over it! However, I had to choose this midi dress to be a part of my curated collection because it is truly a polished minimal outfit. It’s so pretty to wear by itself self but if you want to make the outfit edgier, pair it with the leather jacket. Another way I would style it is with the double breathes boyfriend blazer. Throw in a pair of pointy-toe pumps and you got yourself an elegant outfit.
