Hello and welcome back to The Visual Aspect! Today I want to show you a fall transitional outfit that you can take from day to night. Sweater weather is just about here down in Texas. It’s actually been below 75F, so I am tempted to pull out my Ugg boots. I’m totally kidding! Anyway, I recently picked up this color-blocked cropped sweater from Express. Negin Mirsalehi is one of my favorite bloggers and she released a clothing line in collaboration with Express.
Express has released a few collections with bloggers and influencers since the beginning of the year. However, Negin’s collection really stood out to me and the pieces are perfect for my wardrobe. The sweater that I bought comes with a matching skirt, but I just started with the top. I had purchased a few skirts from H&M that would go with this top perfectly without having the pattern be too overwhelming. This is what I am wearing in the photos shown in this post. I can go on and on about finding the perfect leather skirt from H&M, but I will save that for another blog post.
Outfit Of The Day
For this daytime look, I paired the sweater with some wide-leg jeans from Madewell. I have another pair of wide-leg jeans that I snagged from Target on major clearance and I get so many compliments. Since they were on clearance I can’t tag that style any longer, so I have been looking for a similar pair to share with you. I think I found the perfect pair that closely matches the one I own! Next just slide into these cute pair of mules, throw a bucket bag on your shoulder and you are ready to get your day started.
Outfit Of The Night
And now it’s time for a happy hour and a night out on the town. Keeping the sweater as the main piece, to switch it up, slip on this faux leather skirt. Okay, I said I would save my rant about this skirt for another post but let me just say this. I absolutely love this skirt and it DOES NOT ride up as you walk!!! The length is perfect as well, so I got it in this camel color and in black because it is going to be a wardrobe staple forever. I paired this with some black booties because I wanted to play on the black and brown mix up. I have some similar booties tagged below. Then add some staple earrings and a handbag.
I thought this would be a fun post to share with you as I am diving into my fall clothes. As I discover more outfits I will share those with you as well. Is this a post that you’d like to see more of? If so let me know below!
