Hello and happy Tuesday! This week begins my posting twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will be a bit of a challenge for me however I want to bring more content to you more frequently. As you know Valentine’s day is right around the corner and you (as well as I) probably have no idea what to wear. Or maybe you are in need of some outfit inspiration for the holiday. I need this as well and have pulled together 5 perfect outfits for Valentine’s day. The following outfits will range from comfy and cozy to dressed up.
The Casual-Cute Valentine
This is the outfit featured in today’s post! For this look, I paired one of my favorite pairs of jeans with a striped ribbed sweater and slip-on mules. The neckline of this sweater is called a bateau neckline, and that is what originally drew me to it. I like small details on clothing that can add something different to your collection of sweaters. This is an outfit that can be worn to a variety of events for the night. And it is so quick and easy to style together!
The Comfy Valentine
This outfit is perfect for a night in or if you are having all of your girls over for a Galentines day movie night. This grey sweatsuit set is from the new Olivia CulpoXExpress collection. Last week, I had the chance to try on this set and other pieces from her collection and I loved it! . If you want to feel like you are wearing a cloud this is the set for you! They are extremely comfortable and the pants are high waisted, just how I like it. If you want the top to be a little more slouchy as shown then I would size up but the pants are true to size. I paired this with a pair of dad sneakers from Steve Madden and a coin necklace from Forever 21.
The Athleisure Valentine
So maybe you are going on a fun hike or doing an event that is more active. No worries at all! This next look is a super cute athleisure look just for that occasion. I really do love Forever 21’s activewear and have so many pieces that I use all the time. Right now they are having 30% off which makes it, even more, price conscious.
The Dress-ed Down Valentine
For the last two looks, I am going to style it dressed up and dressed down for you.First up is dressed down! I love the dress and trainers look for the past year or so and if you are more sporty this look would be perfect for you. The dress is fun and flirty and pairing it with crisp white trainers gives you a cool girl, laid back vibe. You can pair this with some gold jewelry and even a small backpack instead of the traditional handbag.
The Dress-ed Up Valentine
To dress this look up you change out those trainers for a pair of heels! Styling the dress with the gold jewelry can remain the same. For a handbag switch out the backpack for a black clutch and you are all set!
I hope this gave you a few ideas on what to wear for Valentine’s day next week. On Thursday I will also have a shortlist on 10 cute date spots in the Austin area for Valentine’s day. So check back for that!
