Hi everyone! I am basically recovered from one of the best weekends of 2018. The following Monday a freaking bone-chilling cold front blew through Austin and it has been 43F and raining for a couple of days. As I sit in my living room in my uggs and sweatpants I am going to recap my ACL weekend for you. I just want to start off by thanking HomeAway for providing backstage passes for Chelsey, Jonathon and I. That just made the festival weekend 10x better and I loved having a spot to hang out at between shows.
Day 1
Friday the weather was perfect and sunny and no threats of rain, so that is why I chose that day to be my maxi dress day. I found this super boho chic maxi dress at Forever 21 that was exactly what I was looking for. At first, I was stuck on what shoes I wanted to wear. However, I ended up wearing my black sandals from Zara. I paired this with the double buckle belt from express and that completed the look.
My highlight from Friday was definitely Bishop Briggs! Her performance was SO good and she is such a powerhouse. Paul McCartney was also fun although my feet wear dying and I was ready to go home.
Day 2
Saturday was on and off rain, but by the time we got to the park, it was blistering hot. When I saw that there was an 80% chance of rain for the day I went and grabbed an alternate top. I found this cute cut off plaid flannel and I paired this with my high waisted denim from Zara and the perfect belt bag that I got from Turquoise Collective. I started the day in my rain boots but once the day went on and no rain was in sight, I switched to my fancy $10 shoes from Target.
For the music part of the day, I basically relived my high school and college listening to Lil Wayne! Then the gang left early to go eat at Irene’s and that was the best decision ever.
Day 3
Sunday it was extremely muddy from the rain the previous night so I slipped back on my cheap shoes from Target because I didn’t want to ruin any other shoes I have. Honestly, the group really had to rally to get to the park on Sunday. Even though we didn’t stay at the park late we were out at the restaurant kind of late. Anyway, this was my body suit and high waisted shorts day. Pretty easy to throw together and I wore the belt part of the belt bag. I put my hair up in a ponytail and I didn’t know I was gonna be feeling that ponytail as much as I did. But at the Travis Scott show, I was whipping that hair around haha
Okay, all I’m gonna say is that I think I need a realignment after the Travis Scott show. I kinda want to go to his Astroworld show in Houston like really bad! Outside of breaking my body for TS, Arctic Monkeys was perfection! I’m glad I was able to catch some of their set.
Overall this was another ACL festival for the books! I was so glad I got to spend this weekend with the blogger crew again. Until next year <3
