Hello! I hope you are having a great week and welcome back to The Visual Aspect! I feel like in many blog posts I barely touch on accessories or handbags. I kind of mention it here and there, however, I want to share a full blog post dedicated to handbags for this spring and summer season! This will be helpful because it goes hand in hand with the rest of your wardrobe and ties the whole look together. I think you only need about 2-3 handbags to create some variety in your closet. Then you can add the trendier pieces on top of that. This post covers what is currently trending this spring and summer season which can also be easily incorporated into your everyday life.
Shoulder Bag
To kick things off is shoulder bags. I find myself using smaller and smaller bags and being more compact. I don’t have a huge wallet and this bucket bag full of stuff…except for my tote bag that I use for work. Shoulder bags can vary in size but overall, they a small/medium sized and can help you narrow down what you are bringing everywhere with you if that is the goal.
Crossbody Bag
If someone tells you this bag is going out of style, they are lying to you. I even did some quick research on this and nowhere could I find that a crossbody bag is on its way out for the upcoming season. This is my most used style of bag! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen the Theory crossbody bag in about 80% of my pictures. I love it so much! That bag keeps me to the bare minimum of items that I need to bring, which is another perk to it. If you want to be hands-free this summer, go with this style!
Utility Belt Bag
This is a fun twist to add to your wardrobe! This would be a fun addition to your wardrobe for any concerts or even festivals coming up. I have worn out during vacation and it was super convenient. You can find some interesting belt bags out there, to say the least, BUT there are some practical ones if you want the belt bag to not be the focal point of your outfit. See my pics below!
Mini Backpacks
My backpack was a lifesaver during SXSW this year. Also, if you have not caught onto the trend it is also about condensing down to a smaller handbag. Honestly, the backpacks can be trendy the past couple of seasons. However, many brands have made them sophisticated and chic, so you don’t feel like you are going to school.
